This class, led by our own Dr. Ryan Hamm, is designed to teach you how to move and exercise in a way that builds strength and stability without wearing down your joints.

The Science Behind The Class…

This class is based on a relatively new, ground-breaking exercise and rehabilitation method called Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, or DNS. DNS exercises retrain your brain to restore flexibility, stability, posture, balance, and movement.

Many of us lose these important keys for healthy muscles and joints because of the injuries and pain we experience throughout life. Pain rewires the brain (a condition known as neuroplasticity) and we end up losing flexibility, stability and joint alignment somewhere in the body. As a result, we develop compensations and faulty movement patterns. Over time, faulty movements build up to a point where our body starts breaking down and we develop painful “wear and tear” conditions, including arthritis, tendinitis, bulging discs, rotator cuff issues, and so on.

The goal of this class is to help you stop painful wear and tear so you can live a more active, pain-free lifestyle.

This class will teach you how to…

  • Move the way you are naturally designed to move
  • Eliminate faulty movements and damaging compensations that are wearing down your joints
  • Reintroduce fundamental movements that are the foundation for a strong body
  • Retrain your brain so that easier, less damaging movements become automatic
  • Perform strengthening exercises that promote proper alignment and stable joints
  • Exercise in a way that will strengthen muscles with less stress on your joints
  • Perform exercises that improve your flexibility and posture
  • Strengthen your body’s “weak links”

Class sizes are small – 10 or less to maximize one-on-one

The class is open to everyone, including seniors

We cover exercises for all problem areas, including the core, back, feet, knees, hips, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands

Exercises are performed in various positions including sitting, standing, kneeling, and on the floor (you can bring your own yoga mat if you like)
