Over 79 million people in the U.S. have prediabetes. This puts them at very high risk for joining the 26 million children and adults who have already been diagnosed with Diabetes and increases risk for heart disease, stroke, hypertension, blindness, and kidney disease. The principles of Largest Loser state that we can prevent this chronic disease by lowering blood pressure, reducing cholesterol and triglycerides, decreasing abdominal fat, and improving blood sugar metabolism.
But don't take our word for it! The below examples are just a few of our patients who have made 180 degree turns in their health and have completely changed their metabolism and prevented chronic health risks the right way (long term changes of good nutrition, physical activity, and behavior modification)
Greg
Greg entered the Largest Loser program after being diagnosed with Diabetes. At 291 pounds and taking 11 presciption pills per day, he decided he had had enough!

Through hard work and good nutrition, his blood sugars are now in line, his blood pressure is normal, and he has eliminated all of his medications! Greg is an inspiration to all patients out there who want to change their life and regain control of their health.

Julie
As a nurse, mom, and caregiver, Julie has been so focused on caring for others that her own health was suffering. When a friend convinced her to try Largest Loser she took the program by storm. In addition to making major changes in her own health, she emerged as a true motivator and leader for others in the program.

Jim
After being "forced" to join the program by a friend and by his daughters who were afraid of where his health was going, Jim shocked us by making one of the most storied lifestyle changes we've seen in Largest Loser.
In week 1, his physician had to put him on blood pressure medications so that he could safely exercise. Before the end of the program, his physician actually had to discontinue all medications because his blood pressure was getting too low during exercise!
