Dr. Zhou has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture since 1989. She received her MD in Chinese Medicine at one of the top university hospitals in China in the early 1980’s and has two Master’s Degrees—one in Medical Education and another in Public Health (epidemiology) from the University of Illinois.
Dr. Zhou also practiced acupuncture at the Center for Complimentary medicine at Lutheran General Hospital for 11 years. She is a licensed acupuncturist in Illinois and certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
As a practitioner, Dr. Zhou believes that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture can be both extremely helpful and complimentary to Western medicine.
